Suburban Extended Stay Melbourne Hotel

I wouldn't even give this place one star...if it were up to me I would give it negative stars...

First off, reservations were a pain; staff was not knowledgeable of special discount rates for an event I was in town for. Secondly, the room smelled terrible and moldy.

Third, the iron in the room ended up having a sticky substance on it and burned a hole in my $150 dress!

And here's the real kicker; apparently no one is on duty from the hours of midnight to 7 AM; I was not informed of this when I checked in. Upon returning to my room later that evening around 1:00 AM my key became deactivated. I tried calling the emergency number to get in my room and no one answered inn between my encounters with the shady individuals roaming the hallways during the wee-hours. Fortunately, my friend was also staying in the crappiest hotel of all of Melbourne and I ended up having somewhere to sleep until I went down to the front desk at 7 AM to get my key activated.

I DO NOT recommend!

The hotel has air conditioning in each room, a kitchen with refrigerator, top burner stove, microwave, coffee maker and cookware and place settings for four, iron, telephone, television. They provide daily maid service, they have a laundry room, a restaurant and a fitness center. The hotel is great value. It was particularly nice for a longer stay. It had a pleasant staff and clean rooms. The air conditioners were a little too close to the beds and noisy. The beach is not too far away.

NO WAY! Never AGAIN!. Very Noisy at all hours. People hanging in the halls, at the entrance doors, and in the parking lot at all times. We felt very unsafe and couldn't wait to leave.

This hotel was reasonably priced for the variety of amenities offered in the rooms, in particular, the kitchen and dining areas. The location was convenient in relation to the beaches. Requests for additional services, extra towels, for example, sometimes required multiple requests before we were helped. The fitness center had the standard offerings of a hotel fitness center, but it would have been nice if a TV or radio was there.

The hotel was as expected. Even though there were no frills or extras it met my needs. It was a great price for a room with a small kitchenette. Also the room cleanliness and the condition of the room were excellent for the price charged.

This hotel made me feel content: The room was ready and clean when we arrived and there were no issues with our reservations. Any requests were always met when asked.
