Suburban Extended Stay Daytona Beach Hotel

If you are paying 40- 50 a night you get what you pay for.

Beds are awful. We had a double room with tiny twin beds that looked like they came from the set of The Brady Bunch. Carpets ripped and

housekeeping was awful. Note the lack of pictures of the rooms.

The one picture they have must be from another hotel.

Again you get what you pay for.

It's all about the location. On a hot day, it's a short walk back to the room from the track to cool off in the pool or the A/C. Our room was a perfect fit for two people, clean and enjoyable. We brought our own towels and pillows for comfort and enjoyed our stay. The pool was still murky upon our checkout on Monday after the race, but the beach is close and there is a nice state park with a spring about a half hour away that is very refreshing. Yes, the room was overpriced, but the location made it worth every penny, especially with two races in one day. We got to freshen up before race #2 and didn't have to pay $80 or more to park on Saturday. Will probably return again.

The place was pretty worn down, old and in need of some help. We had to pay .25 everytime you wanted just a cup of ice. They didn't have a blow dryer or alarm clock in the room and you couldn't even check one out. The only thing nice about the hotel was the walk of 2 streets to the speedway. We were down for the Pepsi 400 and they gave away all of the parking spots and wanted us to walk forever just to park and get to the hotel which we didn't feel was very nice of them. The employees were very nice.

It's located close to the track. I did not stay in the hotel long enough to have an opinion.

The signal for the wireless network access was too low to connect. My advice is to take your own pillow. At least one floor lamp would be helpful, too.
