I am staying at this hotel while on internship from June 2nd-July 25th. Today is July 16, 2007, and I can honestly say that I've had room service about three times since I've been here (two of which were requested). Most of the dishes were missing upon arrival and the linens, towels, bathroom, and floors were half cleaned.
Now that Intown Suites bought this place out, higher levels service may be expected, but don't be fooled. The management here will not replenish towels or toilet tissue and they hardly ever answer the office phone. I haven't had room cleaning in two and a half weeks and all management could do was ask me if I could wait until a certain date and tell me I can't get any new towels or toilet tissue. Though it was up to management to inform long-term residents of the change in service, I was left un-informed despite my many phone calls to the office (which were all ignored). In addition, the service from people in the office was terrible. I stood for at least 10 minutes awaiting acknowledgement by a worker who was having conversation with another customer.
To make a long story short--If you plan on staying here on a weekly-basis, I don't recommend this place because long-term guests are not--I repeat not--accommodated. It is more convenient and probably cheaper to pay rent for a fully-furnished apartment than to pay to stay here.

Please dont repeat our mistake by staying here! Our reservation was not really a reservation, just a request, so we were given one bed, not two. The non-smoking room had cigarette ashes on the tables and sink. The bedspread had cigarette burns. There were cobwebs, peeling paint, and dust thick enough to write your name. We did not have a clock, top sheet, or shampoo. There was pet hair, a dirty shower, sink and coffeepot. This was the only available room in Athens so we had no choice. We should've bought sleeping bags & slept in car. It was that bad. Stay anywhere but here. The management felt "more than generous" to offer $10 discount, unbelievable!
Please don?t stay here ? horrible! ?Reservation not really a reservation, just a request;" given one bed, not two. "Non-smoking" room: Cigarette ashes on tables/in sink, bedspread w/ cigarette burns, cobwebs, peeling paint, dust thick enough to...
