I wouldn't even give this place one star...if it were up to me I would give it negative stars...
First off, reservations were a pain; staff was not knowledgeable of special discount rates for an event I was in town for. Secondly, the room smelled terrible and moldy.
Third, the iron in the room ended up having a sticky substance on it and burned a hole in my $150 dress!
And here's the real kicker; apparently no one is on duty from the hours of midnight to 7 AM; I was not informed of this when I checked in. Upon returning to my room later that evening around 1:00 AM my key became deactivated. I tried calling the emergency number to get in my room and no one answered inn between my encounters with the shady individuals roaming the hallways during the wee-hours. Fortunately, my friend was also staying in the crappiest hotel of all of Melbourne and I ended up having somewhere to sleep until I went down to the front desk at 7 AM to get my key activated.

I took a chance on an inexpensive motel. Much to my delight, the place is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous, the bed was very comfortable, and the place was quiet. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
