I reserved this hotel online while traveling across country at Christmas time. I was just stopping through. It was in a good area near a college.

53 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The room hadn't been cleaned (despite a card with lots of ticks listing the things allegedly cleaned). I complained and the staff could hardly be bothered. They responded by collecting my possessions from the room and bagging them - but they still didn't clean the room!
Its a shame - I'd stayed at this hotel most years for the last six years. It was getting worn but felt homely. It is just not acceptable as a place to stay.
