StudioPlus Charlotte University Place Hotel

When I stayed at the hotel, I asked if they had a pool. When I got there the pool was not inspected so I could not swim. I will not stay in a hotel if there is no pool.

This hotel made me feel excited: I felt excited about the security the hotel had to make me feel safe.

I made a reservation for a race back in January 2006. I called one week before my arrival to confirm, and the next morning at 10:30 am they called me to cancel saying other guests had requested to extend their stay through the weekend of the race, so I was screwed out of a room. The manager agreed to pay for a one night stay at a Microtel Inn across the street which would have been $149.00 plus tax, I would have paid $54.99 per night at the studio, so one night at the Microtel would have added up to three nights at the studio, but I ended up going there one night earlier on a Wednesday night at $54.99 and that is all the Studio Plus paid for, so I got screwed again by them. This was lousy service on their part, reservations should be honored especially 10 months in advance, especially during a race weekend. They should have put the other guests up in another hotel until after the race, that is how it is done at other race venues.

It was fine, although the grounds were somewhat dirty because of the dogs staying there. We also had a dog, and when we left we accidentally left her bed in the room. We were able to retrieve it, but the staff did not want to mail it to us. We had someone go get it.
