Positioned 3/4 of a mile from downtown, our Northwoods themed hotel offers modern day comforts with the look and relaxing feel of the Northwoods. Relax poolside, enjoy our plasma TV next to the fireplace in the lobby, have complimentary breakfast or enjoy a cocktail in the saloon. We offer 75 rooms that feature coffee makers, irons/boards, and hairdryers, as standard options. If you are a Harley biker you'll love this place - if not - do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This motel is located right near the local Harley dealer and was jampacked with Hog lovers - who were loud, crude, rude and practically took over the whole place. They were loud and rude and drinking in the swimming pool area - they were partying in the lobby and hallways until 2am. They ignored a personal request for quiet - and my call to the front desk didn't seem to do much good either.
Too bad too, because otherwise it was a very nice motel. We stay in Galena several times a year - they won't get our repeat business!

30 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous. Our room was right next to a common area and we arrived late from sightseeing one night to find a loud and intoxicated group in the common area. The front desk clerk recognized us, he knew which room we were in and he told us to let him know if the group was too loud and he would take care of it. We really enjoyed the privacy of the hotel, though most people stay in bed and breakfasts in this town.
The decor was personal and friendly, much more than a standard hotel chain. I loved the fireplaces in the common areas and the little stuffed moose on our pillow.
I am very likely
to return to the Stoney Creek Inn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
