48 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I am a business traveler who stays in hotels in excess of 8 months a year. I stayed at this hotel for six months and am returning in a few weeks.
The staff makes all the difference here. They really go out of their way for you.
This is an older Staybridge Suites (ie, no granite counters), but still very nice and well-maintained. The two and three room suites are very spacious and have central heat and air; walk-in closets; comfortable beds with cotton sheets, duvets, and down pillows; a vanity with drawers; a TV in each room; a DVD/VCR in the living room; a full size stove with lots of counter space; well-maintained exteriors and landscaping; a hot breakfast with eggs, breakfast meats, oatmeal, and waffles; a mini-mart with TV dinners, snacks, and alcohol; free washers and dryers; and weekday happy hours with wine/beer and snacks. At least one day a week, they have barbequed chicken as the dinner "snack". There are extensive CATV channels (I estimate about 40 or so, including several HBO channels, SciFi, HGTV, etc). I really felt like I was in an apartment, but with people who would shop for me, do my dry cleaning, clean my room, and cook breakfast for me. I never encountered a problem that management did not work hard to fix.
As a pet owner, this was a great location. There are plenty of places to allow your pet to take care of business without intruding on those guests who don't want to be around them. And they are fastidious about cleaning after pets. Every room is shampooed after a pet stays even one night, and on my extended stay they offered to clean the carpets in the middle of my stay.
I got to know all the staff by first name and it was a great experience. The only reason they didn't get a 10 is the building is about 10 years old. The sales manager tells me they are upgrading to granite, etc soon, and when they do, they will definitely be a "10".
pros: good parking, good valueWe recently stayed at the Summerfield suites in Sunnyvale and were very very pleased with everything. As an added bonus they even had a putt putt golf and basketball court, my kids were in heaven. The social hour and...
