I am skeptical so I had to see myself about this place...This place is at best a DUMP..The day we checked in our room wasnt ready so we went to town and returned around midnight, our room was moldy, dirty roaches everywhere, dressors and entertainment center falling apart, the comphorter was moldy, and had blood stains on the inside of it when we pulled it back..Save your money pitch a tent on the beach..I have pictures of mold on walls, doors, also bedding..As we were checking out I watched a maid take 6 minutes to clean a room and she didnt even change the sheets of a room that someone had checked out of..She didnt even vaccume it...This place is a health hazzard and should be closed by the health dept and code enforcement..The good thing is I told them I wanted a refund and after threatening to report them to the health dept. and code enforcement I was given a refund...STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE..AT BEST THIS PLACE SHOULD ONLY CHARGE 19.99 A NIGHT

When I arrived for a three night stay on 3-18 to 3-21 09, I should have left prior to check in and went across the street. While checking in a guest reported to the office and made a complaint concerning the whirlpool having hum

My wife and I went to the hotel for one night and when we arrived we noticed that the front of the hotel was falling down. The front electric doors were stuck half way open and did not close at all. I had already paid for the room and was not able to cancel the reservation with out 48 hour notification....what a mistake that was. The room was close to the beach but the room was falling apart. The doors on the cabinets were missing. There was rust on all of the electric fixtures. We reserved the kitchenette. The dishes looked like something that was fished out of the ocean. The silverware was rusted like the fixtures. The door was not weather proof. Ants were coming under the door. The rear steps of the hotel smelled like the local bums used it for a bathroom. No one spoke english that worked there other than the front desk help. The hotel was in the process of building new rooms but the advertisement said that all of the rooms were new. The bathroom ceiling was also falling down along with the ceiling in the "living room area". At least the tv worked. Your best bet is to drive far far away from this place.

O.K. I don't even know where to start. Well when we first arrived I noticed a TERRIBLE SMELL of MOLD in the room. My husband and I laid down on the bed to watch a little t.v. and the popcorn on the ceiling was falling onto him. We decided to go out and not let it ruin our night. When we arrived back at the hotel we had to turn on the heat and my husbands allergy's went crazy, THE HEATER WAS SO DUSTY. Well we eventually fell asleep. AT 3:30 IN THE MORNING MY HUSBAND WOKE UP TO A RAT ON HIS ARM he thought maybe he was imagining things so he fell back to sleep. 30 MIN LATER HE WOKE TO A RAT IN BETWEEN THE BOTH OF US LIKE HE BELONGED THERE, he woke me and said, "HONEY, I DO NOT WANT TO SCARE YOU, BUT A RAT JUST CRAWLED OVER YOU". Well of course after that I could not sleep I wanted to get the hell out of there. WE SAW IT AGAIN BEHIND THE MICROWAVE AND IT JUMPED DOWN AND WENT IN THIS HUGE HOLE BEHIND THE TOILET. We tried to call down to the lobby, but the phone did not work. We packed up our bags and went down to speak to someone about the rat but nobody was there so we slept in our car the rest of the night. We went in around 8:30a.m. and told the man at the front desk about it and he acted like it happened all the time. WE WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER STAY THERE OR EVEN CLOSE TO THERE AGAIN. I HOPE YOU READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE YOU STAY IN THE HOTEL WITH THIS RAT BEACUSE THERE IS NO TELLING HOW MANY MORE THERE ARE. THE MOST DISGUSTING PLACE EVER. THE WHOLE PLACE WAS ALSO VERY VERY FILTHY. WARNING DO NOT STAY. EEWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!

Staff could care less. our family vacation was almost a disaster. the management did not care that the entire hotel and all ameneties, not to mention the guest staff, needed much repair. we had no housekeeping services, the water slide was hardly ever on due to lack of staff, maintence, and when it was on it was full of bird feces where you start your slide. i told several management staff memebers that the bird feces was very harmfull especially if ingested or inhaled by children, the reply was "can't you see we're busy checking in guest and understaffed today?". we parents sent a maintence person to get cleaning supplies so that we could clean up the mess. the rooms are rusting everywhere. the keys did not work for every guest that compared notes at the pool and beach. this place could be a remarkable hotel if proper management that had pride in themselves and their place of business. the potential is there as well as its ameneties(once repaired). my young children asked never to be brought back here again. I was planning my wedding in St Augustine. We had not placed a written contract down down yet but paid a $1000 deposit. My sister visited the hotel 1 week after I paid and was placed in three seperate rooms. All had issues, from mold/fungus in the couch, a rusted fridge, to water stains on the ceiling, a leaking A/C and a wet bed. I was lucky and able to stop half the payment I made but the hotel refuse to refund the rest. 1 week after it was made a year in advance to a wedding date. They have several open cases by the BBB and possible health code violations that we are checking into to help make a case to get our money back.
You would do better setting a tent up on the beach.

The entire hotel is dirty and rundown. My room was disgusting. It was dirty and so old and in disrepair I couldn't believe it. The air conditioning unit didn't work properly and the sheets were so worn out they were uncomfortable. I had to wait almost a half-hour while checking in because their computer is slow and inadequate.
They are constructing an indoor pool while the whole hotel falls apart around them. I checked out the next day because I couldn't stay in such a dirty, ugly place. There are so many nice hotels in the area. I chose this one from the internet and I was very, very sorry. It is also very expensive for such a dirty place.

Staying at this hotel was a nightmare. We stayed here for three nights on our honeymoon and did not have water or plumbing for half of that time.
What made it even worse was that the owner/manager of the hotel did not even seem sympathetic or try to help us. She told me that they could bring a bucket up to our room when I asked where I could use the bathroom. Then when asked about washing my hands she directed me to the pool. When it was time to check out she was no where to be found leaving the front desk staff to deal with a line of angry customers.
The rooms were dirty, the laundry was not done to supply enough towels, our peep hole did not work, and our bathroom door did not shut. I don't know where they got the pictures of their rooms on their website but it is not the room we stayed in!

It was somewhat rundown, but right on the beach and close to the town and the people were friendly. It had a terrific tall water slide that my child loved.
The staff was very friendly and congenial toward my child. They let him visit the parrot in the lobby frequently and answered all his questions. They recommended a restaurant we really liked.
