It is an older hotel and thus it could use some internal and external remodeling. However, for the price, the size of the room and the amenities were not bad. It was quiet, which was a plus.
They have kept up with their lock systems and, though the building itself is older, the locks on the doors are modern and very secure.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Red Roof Inn Springfield.
I might recommend it to friends.

The location was set too far from necessities such as dining and shopping. The employee had locked herself out of the building when we arrived to check in. The smoke detector in the guest room had been wrapped in a wet towel that had dried on the device. The bathroom was not as clean as I would have expected. Overall, the room had a dirty and used quality to it. The motel was in a remote location and it had very poor exterior lighting, creating many safety and security concerns.
I am not likely
to return to the Red Roof Inn Springfield.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Mediocre
There is no pool, no breakfast, no ice machine, not in the best part of town....a person approached us on the parking lot, asking us for a money handout.

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay. They were very helpful and friendly at check in and check out. It's located near the interstate so local attractions were easy to get to.
