I was very disappointed by a few things during our stay.
Cons: Our room looked NOTHING like any of the rooms in the pictures and I am positive that we got the oldest room in the Inn. There were NO curtains and the bedspreads were very plain (a cream color) and not the quilts they talk about. The room had a very institutionalized feeling to it. Drab paint (cream colored as well), drab bedspreads, no curtains. The dining room doesn't have the best food. It is buffet only, which was a BIG disappointment, we didn't even eat dinner either nights and we had planned on it. After seeing the food and dessert choices, we into Bedford both nights to eat. certain parts of the hotel have a strange odor, especially the 1st floor. Maybe due to how old the place is?
They have an indoor pool, but don't bother bringing your suit. It is VERY tiny and the water was an odd color and it looked like it hadn't been clean since the pool was built!!
Pros: the staff is SUPER friendly and accommodating. The game room and lobby are beautiful and very homey. Loved the huge fireplaces. The breakfast buffet in the dining room had a great selection (but the food was bland)The price of breakfast was very reasonable. I was impressed with the size of the family/game room.
I have been to the Park many times, but am unsure if I will stay again @ the Inn, unless I can pick which room I stay in....LOL
Since it was built by the government and ran by them, the Inn has a bit of an Industrial/Institutionalize feel to it in certain areas. I did like the relaxed, homey feel in other areas and cant say enough about the Staff and employees.
