pros: Pet and budget friendlyWe went out of town on short notice and were looking for something super affordable in South Beach. This hotel has pet friendly rooms so that was a plus. There are green areas behind the hotel for walking your dog....
This hotel is the most filthy hotel I've ever seen - we suffered through one night and checked out early the next day to find other accomodations. We were given dirty towels, the bathroom had paint peeling off the walls and there was mildew...

The hotel vacation package was advertised with free wireless internet access, which was not available. It has a prime location for tourists who want a quiet vacation and relatively calm beach scene. Most nightlife and restaurants are at least one mile south of the hotel.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Sovereign Hotel Miami Beach.
I might recommend it to friends.

29 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I've stayed at over 100 hotels, traveling for both work and pleasure, and this was the worst one. When we checked in, there were no towels in the room. We asked and they were never brought, so we asked again, and they said they didn't have anymore towels. My sister sent champagne to us since we were celebrating our engagement and we never received. The bedspread had a hole in it.

The evening check-in was acceptable. They tried to explain where we could get some food but they didn't know English that well. The valet service was okay.
THERE ARE ROACHES EVERYWHERE... DON'T STAY HERE. The service is terrible, they wouldn't do anything for me and we had to stay in a roach infested hotel. For somewhere that charges $100 per night, they make you feel like you owe them.
Don't know where to start. First, BEWARE of hidden charges, fees that are not in their website. $30 valet parking, when u ask for options beside valet, they dont answer. They gave me a key to a room that already had a guest registered, and they...

Nothing“Room had sand on the rug, one drinking glass was left in room, the remote was missing a battery and the back portion. The extra added valet, $30, the resort fee of an extra $10 per person, if you wanted to pay cash there was a $25 fee for...
