Horrible
Don't count on actually staying here, even if you have a reservation. You may end up having to sleep in the car or drive 40 miles inland if the other hotels in the area are booked.

Resort offers all the amenities that one would want. Very clean and attractive. Excellent pool with sound system. Very personable and accommodating hosts. Very quiet - a nice change to the bustle of the Island. Centrally located to library, restaurants, pubs and shopping opportunities. Highly recommended as a very affordable short or long term stay.

I live locally and wanted to take the family overnight at South Padre Island. Most places on the island were booked and those that were'nt knew it $$$$$. I decided to try Port Isabel and called Southwind.
