South Beach Resort Marblehead Resort - Page 1

We checked in here last week on a business trip and ended up leaving the same night. When we arrived the rooms were disgusting! The linens were dirty, there were clumps of hair in the beds and sinks, and a chewed up piece of hard candy stuck to the headboard of one of the beds. We travel a lot and have been in some bad hotel rooms so we decided we would stick it out one night then move to a new hotel the next morning. Oh, and I forgot to mention that after 8PM we were the only people there, no other guest, no office staff. At around 10:30 water came pouring through the light fixture of the bathroom in one of the rooms we were staying in and before maintence arrived later there was over an inch of water on the floor. Since there was no office staff to put her in a different room we had to move hotels that night. Because of the events of that night we decided we would not pay for the room that flooded, but we would pay for the other two rooms. We have placed about 7 phone calls to the resort to try to resolve this in a civil way but the manager will not reurn our calls. In fact, i was just told by one of the staff members that she was going to leave him a note and if he returned my call great but if he didn't, oh well. This is not only the most disgusting and unaccomodating place I have ever stayed at but they also have the rudest, most useless staff. We are turning them in to the Better Business Bureau for this area and I would encourage everyone to stay far away!
