Stayed at this place a few years ago and enjoyed it. People that down this place just have a hair accross their ass. Great price for the room and I have always found the front desk staff helpful. I am going back in April of 2009 and wouldn't stay an

The room is run down, the carpet is torn, and there is no hair dryer, shampoo, nor ironing board as advertised in the web. The swimming pool was covered up in the late May. We were very disappointed to find out that we could not swim. The attitude of the man attending the front desk is very rude and unbelievably horrible. No food is allowed in the room because of the insect problems they have. It is very hard not to have any food in the room when traveling with young children. The towels are very hard with cheap materials. The chairs in the room are dirty. The swimming pool was covered up in the late May. We were very disappointed to find out that we could not swim. Our door could not latch well. After maid cleaning the room, our door was left un-locked all day when we were out sightseeing. The attitude of the man attending the front desk is very, very, very rude and unbelievably horrible. There are plenty of motels and hotels up and down the street within very short distance from this motel with very reasonable prices. There is no reason to choose this horrible motel.
The service is horrible there. The breakfast items were so bad and pathetic that normal people wont even want for free. We ate them only because it was convenient when one of our young children was still sleeping. They required people to eat in the lobby area but there was no dinning table, no chairs, or any descent place to sit to eat. In the lobby, there were only 4 arm chair and an antique coffee table that does not have a flat table top, but with a round basin in the middle surrounded by decoration patterns. There is not enough flat surfaces to put food down to eat. We were forced to eat standing up, which is very hard when you have children. When I asked the attending person if it is all right to bring food to my room to eat, the person just shrugged his shoulder without answering a word. After repeating asking him 3 times without getting any verbal answer, we decided to take the food back to our room, and then the attending person accused me lying and stealing their food with a very, very, very rude and abusive attitude. When we tried to explain, he would not listen but just yelled at us. No one should endure the abuse when vacationing.

We travel to this location two times a year and we always stay at this motel. It is centrally located in the Pennsylvania Dutch country. It is close to shopping and restaurants, the motel is comfortable and always clean.
I am very likely
to return to the Soudersburg Motel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Good
When we go to Amish Country in the winter time, the place we stay is Soudersburg Motel and while its a nice and clean and roomy motel, we choose to stay here only in the winter because of the VERY CHEAP RATES!
