Historic lodging with charm and all the modern amenities make our 16 elegant guest rooms the perfect location ON the Historic Sonoma tree lined plaza for your getaway to the Wine Country. This 19th-Century hotel is located on the northwest corner of the Sonoma town square. It still maintains its nostalgic charm, with a stone fireplace and antique Italian stained glass in the lobby. But owners Craig Miller and Tim Farfan have made the accomodations decidedly modern -- private baths in each of the guest rooms, French country furniture throughout, and amenities for both the leisure and business traveler. During your stay at our inn, wake up to fresh coffee and delectable pastries before venturing out to Sonoma's famous wineries, just minutes from the hotel. After a day of shopping or visiting nearby historic landmarks, unwind with complementary wine in the lobby before sitting down at the Sonoma hotel's adjoining restaurant "The Girl and the Fig"

Upon arrival everything seemed pleasant and peaceful, however, towards the end of the evening the downstairs bar started to fill up and kept going at full volume unitl 1:30am. Upon complaining we were told that the bar did not belong to the hotel so nothing could be done. Why then is the restaurant to which the bar belonged advertised as part of the hotel on their website? The next morning no manager was on the premisses and our complaint has not been answered to this day. If you're looking for springbreak atmosphere, great, for a good night sleep, look elsewhere.

pros: wonderful staff, antiques in each room, history of the placeThis little place is right on the square. It has ghosts, wonderfully furnished rooms, terrific staff and more. Everyone is helpful. The history of the hotel is so interesting as...
