Sonesta Coconut Grove is 15 miles from Miami International Airport and is set in a downtown location. The rooms and suites and comfortable and clean, with the suite having the addition of a kitchenette and more space. The best rooms are those with an ocean view, as those on the city side are noisy due to the bars and clubs next door. The restaurant at the hotel is good and there are many other popular restaurants within walking distance. Cocowalk, a few minutes from the hotel is the popular local hotspot. There are a number of museums, gardens and nice tourist spots near by too. There is an outdoor pool and fitness center on site as well. The staff are friendly and helpful and always polite. One tip, the valet parking is pretty expensive so instead, you can park for half the price at the garage next door.
