The room was extremely comfortable and spacious, and - unlike many hotel rooms - was very well lit, with a comfortable seating area. The beds was one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in. I almost didn't want to get out of bed to go see the city. The location is very good, close to the Mutter Museum and a 5 minute drive to the best cheesesteaks in the city (Jim's steaks). Walnut Street shopping is just a short block away, and there are many excellent restaurants and cafes well within walking distance. The staff at the front desk were fine, efficient if not friendly.

Mediocre
I don't know about everyone else who reviewed this hotel, but I was travelling on my own dime. I did not appreciate being nickeled and dimed (actually tenned and twentied) for everything. Over 30 a night to park the car and there aren't really any...

I recently stayed at at the Sofitel Philadelphia for a wedding and really enjoyed both the layout of the room and the comfort of the bed. (Really, the bed was incredibly comfortable.) I did have two complaints, though. First, the room wasn't ready...

Excellent
I didn't expect to be able to check in at 6 AM, and I couldn't; however, the staff were still very accomodating. I had no battery left in my cell or laptop and they let me leave both in a corner of the office to charge for the whole day.
The room ...

Since we have family and friends in the Philadelphia area, we are often down visiting. We love the Sofitel as it is reasonably priced for a luxury hotel, and it has a great location. If you are first-time visitors to Philadelphia, you will find...
