The hotel was very comfortable, nice, with modern furnishings, incredibly comfortable bedding and well equipped accommodations. Also, the rooms were very quiet, I did not hear my neighbors at all. The coffee shop, the gift shop and the bar were staffed by friendly employees, and I would stay there again when traveling to Minneapolis.

This hotel made me feel pampered: The bathroom was gorgeous.

I am very likely to return to the Sofitel Minneapolis.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I liked the overall look of the hotel and the comfortable bed and bedding. It was nice to have a small sofa to sit on, as well as a desk for our laptop. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar and the area our catered dinner was served in.

member icon The best hotel we've stayed in

This is the best hotel that my wife and I have ever stayed in. Upon check-in they did not have the requested room available, so they upgraded us to the presidential suite at no extra charge, which was wonderful. The staff was exceedingly helpful, and catered to our every whim. The location would be poor if you don't have your own car, but otherwise, food and shopping are a short 5-minute drive from the hotel. We plan on returning during our next stop in the Minneapolis area.

I am very likely to return to the Sofitel Minneapolis.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The bar used to be charming, with no TV and live jazz music. On my last visit there was a TV, no more live music according to the staff and the ambience was gone. I have not returned to the hotel or the bar since the change. It is not a special place anymore.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The rooms are very well appointed so I felt comfortable.

32 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business

Location - A $30.00 cab ride from the airport, no shuttle service, and there’s nothing to do in the area.

Amenities - No coffee machine, free coffee available only until 7 am, $2.89 for a plain cup of coffee in hidden coffee shop, dysfunctional elevators, cramped meeting spaces, inadequate preparation/set-up for conferences, spotty internet service, a terrible gift shop, views of parking lot and lobby only, a small closet with doors that don't open all the way, a small room for price, an uncomfortable sofa, inadequate lighting in the bathroom, and flickering, sputtering lights in the room entryway.

Service - Putrid. They have a very arrogant and unbelievably rude concierge. When I asked for a wake-up call, she responded with "I guess I can do that" and summed it up with a very taxed-sounding sigh. When I asked them for clarification of the credit card transaction at check-in, they responded by talking louder and slower with the same answer. This experience left me wishing never to return to the Minneapolis area. I hated almost every moment of the time I had to be there.

I am not likely to return to the Sofitel Minneapolis.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The lobby was beautiful. We had two small children with us so it was all a matter of survival that weekend. I would say that this is not a hotel to stay at with small children (obviously). We went through Priceline and they/we did not get to narrow our requirements enough. We love the Sofitel. I have stayed at the Chicago site as well.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Sofitel Minneapolis.
