There is one thing this hotel really had going for it: A nice working desk with a good chair. That is one thing that I really value in a hotel and it was a surprise to find it in a budget level hotel.
Great location too. Right on the Interstate and close to many other things. And there are a large number of Mid-level restaurants near by (Chilis, Cracker Barrel, IHOP, Denny's etc) but no fast food.
Good Iron and Ironing board too.
On the other hand, the room smelled bad. Supposedly non-smoking room, it stank of smoke and too many tawdry, drunken nights.
The TV is quite small and had poor signals on many channels (particularly Fox News was bad) and the TV was weirdly out of sync when switching channels. The display would say one Channel but you would actually be on a completely different channel about 10 or 15 clicks away.
But it did get BYU TV which I like.
The Bed was tolerably comfortable but the pillows were inadequate.
The food at breakfast was also tolerable, but it seems to me that they must be making the lady who does the breakfast do other things because she does not seem to be able to keep up.
I get the impression that the front desk people are sometimes overwhelmed and check-in seems to take longer than it should.
Its probably better than sleeping in your truck, but maybe not as good as sleeping in a nice car. But the only things I think it has going for it above sleeping in your car is that you can watch at least some TV and get a shower. Other than that though, its not much of a hotel and for that the price is a tad high.
