I only stayed here for one night but didn't have any problems. The room seemed clean enough and my reservation (made through Expedia) went through without a hitch. I didn't use any of the facilities so I can't really comment on that or the service...
I booked two rooms for one night. One room had a musty oder so bad it was changed. The room we had still had crumbs on the floor near the bed. No soap was in the room and the bathroom did not apear to have been cleaned more than a quick wipe down....

It was a pleasant surprise as this one was quite clean and the desk people were very friendly.
The desk clerk was friendly and volunteered for help. She was this way with each client I observed. The girl running the breakfast area was very accommodating. The food was more than one would usually expect.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Sleep Inn Charleston.
I might recommend it to friends.

Good
Wasn't there for the tourism, but if you are, the hotel is a bit aways from the downtown area-maybe 10-15 min. drive. Rooms were great. Breakfast had no fruit. only breaded items and cereals. Computer access was also nice.
Staff lied about rates when I made the reservation. At checkout I was notified rate was tripled "Because of graduation weekend". Charged over $150 per nite for substandard, smelly room. Manager would not adjust rate.

Somebody with a key to my room stole food from me. I reported this to the front desk staff and asked for it to be looked into. Her reply was, "At least that's all they took, are you to poor to buy more food?" The amenities and rooms are on the low end of average.
