member icon Billed Double
Posted May 29, 08 by OldTraveler, 1 reviews
69 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I stayed at this hotel for one night and then traveled to the east coast. Upon my return I found that they double billed my credit card company and must now deal with the trouble of protesting the charges. I was completely shocked at the condition of the room I was given. It was less than clean, one of the two chairs in the room was broken, there were various holes in the walls and the walls badly needed painting. I would never again stay at this hotel, and would never recommend it to another human being.

Well first off when I booked the room I booked a suite and when i checked in thats not what they gave me.

When i had them fix it the lady wasn't so nice and the room i paid for was horrible! There were 4 burnt out lights one of them being the bathroom the doors didn't close right and there was so much going on outside you get no sleep because of noise.

You get free internet but half the time it doesn't work. The rooms have no alarms or clocks and the phones stuck. There was one guy who was a good front desk clerk, we called and asked for a cab and he had them send a limo because it would have been cheaper but we asked the lady and she didn't help.

I checked in and let the lady know i was waiting on luggage since they had lost mine and while i was out they delivered it but she failed to call and leave a message so i had to go and ask about it. This was a decent priced place but for the service and shape of the rooms the price is a bit high!

member icon Poor van services

"You get what you pay for" definitely applies here! Even though the savings were not large, the lack of service was.

This Sea-Tac airport parking service has only one van! Their cCompetitors have at least three. When we got our bags after arriving, the van was nowhere near the airport. What was the point in giving our arrival time at reservation? We called, were told the van "was on its way" and waited, and waited, after 30 minutes I called to make sure we were in the correct area, "the van is on its way" (catch phrase for "we have your money and your car, why would we care about you now?") The van finally arrived, but it was full of others picked up at area #1, silly us, we were waiting at area #3 where we were originally dropped. The driver told us he would be right back.

A two mile round trip took 20 minutes. Unreasonable, maybe not, but a darn cold wait totaling 50 minutes.

Use another service!

If you are looking for a cheap hotel, nothing fancy, just a clean place to put your head down for that flight in the morning, go for it! I will be staying there again in January.

Their shuttle will even take you to the airport.

Not a great place to stay. The picture is not correct. First of all, it's just one floor. There are doors outside for each room. I remember exactly cuz I just came back from there today. The advertisement lists that it's about 10-15 mins away from downtown. I don't know, maybe if you are fast driver, that is possible. But, by bus, it took us nearly an hour. There are no where to go for food nearby, so you either have to drive for 5 mins or so, or walk 10-15 mins. (which seems pretty long btw, if you are starving). It is still a little far from the airport, there are many other competitive priced hotels near the airport, so make sure to check them out as well. The breakfast was just soo poor. That can be improved. The bathroom was clean, but it could be improved as well. I didn't really like being in the bathroom, it was creepy. The room was alittle stuffy, but the bed was clean. There was just a phone, no coffeemaker, alarm clock, or anything else. It is on a noisy road, and if you book online, you don't exactly get what you ask for even though the rooms are empty. But the place wasn't beaten up or anything, and the neighbourhood was okay. If you are a student traveler like me, maybe this place is alright for you. But, if you are travelling with young children and family, then pay a little bit more, and get more of a better price.

I am not likely to return to the Skyway Inn Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.
