Hotel Review

37 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
It is a classic San Francisco destination with an unbeatable location between Union Square and Chinatown. The room was a tad smaller than expected with cozy decor, but the bathroom was in dire need of renovation. Sadly, the customer service agent at the front desk was merely a wage earner lacking in enthusiasm. However, the BeefEater doormen are great. Although the room was tired the hotel had the sterile decor usually associated with corporate chains and that gave the visitor an authentic San Francisco experience.
This hotel made me feel inspired: Because the view from the upper floors provided a stellar view of the city, I was constantly inspired to get out and explore. The hotel is such a classic I was inspired to imagine what it was like to stay there during different eras.

The staff is extremely attentive and very nice.
This hotel made me feel pampered: They gave my son a teddy bear upon arrival. The staff took extremely good care of us. All the staff was very nice and accommodating.

32 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
Located at the heart of San Francisco's downtown shopping district, you really can't beat the location. There's Macy's next door, great clubs within walking distance, cable car station, great movie theater, many bars... what's not to like? Well, basically, you are paying for the location and not much else. The room is tiny and decor is pretty disappointing for the price.

Old world charm! It was very cozy, but not for travelers looking for a contemporary, modern flair with lots of space. Do the research first. They have an excellent staff!

The rooms were very small. Also, the conference facilities were very good.

I found the cleaning staff to be hit and miss and the restocking of the bathroom hit and miss (we used up the tissues and they were not replaced until we specifically requested) also I found the concierge to be very poor in terms of knowledge of the city.

I love the Sir Francis Drake hotel. It's really the only place we like to stay at when we are in San Francisco. Keep up the great job!

This is an incomplete question. With whom?
This hotel made me feel elegant: The decor and the service at the bar on the top floor.

It was a very pleasurable experience staying at the Sir Francis Drake. The staff was friendly, the concierge was very knowledgeable and made excellent dining and entertainment recommendations. The hotel was close to shopping, theaters, and restaurants.
This hotel made me feel extravagent: The hotel was quite fancy and pricy.

I just had a wonderful experience. I don't usually get to spend the night in such beautiful settings.
This hotel made me feel welcome: A decked-out doorman helped us out of our airport limo, scuttled our luggage away and directed us into the lobby where the extremely friendly and efficient front desk staff checked us in. They advised us of all the amenities and of sites and restaurants that were close.
