From its creaky wooden floors and venerable ancestor paintings to its traditional New England cuisine and antique canopy beds, the Silvermine Tavern is everything a country inn should be: warm, friendly, inviting and brimming with charm. Nestled by a tranquil mill pond, the Tavern serves its guests one of the most soothing and serene views in Connecticut. Stay with us in spring, summer or fall and you can dine on our tree-shaded deck overlooking the mill pond. Come winter, you can dine by a hardwood fire and savor the American folk art and artifacts that grace the walls. We invite you to stay the night, the weekend or longer in one of our cozy, romantic, antique-furnished guest rooms

Mediocre
The place was falling apart, needed plaster, paint and a good cleaning. The $22.95 Sundy brunch was nothing better than the $5.95 Denny's special! You get your one cup of coffee and have to beg for a second cup! They had to include the tip in the ...
