You get what you pay for. Booked this hotel well in advance because of price and location. Bed was not completely made. Housekeeping could not speak English, at all. Asked for another room. AC didn't work in that room. They sent maintenance person and he said it was working. Told desk it did not work and I would take back the room with the unmade bed because I knew AC worked. He made us wait, a long time because bedspread was not dry. Finally we get the room. There is no phone, cable doesn't work good and bathroom light is a strobe light. Next time will pay more for better hotel. Hotel is dated and needs renovating.
I am not likely
to return to the Silver Spring Travelodge.
I would not recommend it to friends.
I will never stay here again!!!!

Half the lights in the room burned out. Light switch turns the clock on and off. Cockroaches, mildew all over bathroom, awful smells. Woman at the desk was very rude. Scary neighborhood. Not even worth the low price, keep searching.
There was so much mold growing in the bathroom and behind the curtains that our room would never pass an inspection by health officials. Anyone with asthma or allergies should steer clear. Definitely not worth $80 a...

I like this hotel, because I can afford to stay there. It's good for you to pick this hotel if you want pay less on hotel in DC. If you don't care much about cleanliness, then it's the right place for you to stay. The location is okay,...
For the price, you can't beat it - basic efficient units. The hotel is less than 1 mile from the Metro -- streets safe enough to walk. Check-in and check-out were prompt and accurate. The room was reasonably sized, and being set-back on a side...
