What a view ... right out my window. The only way to get a closer view is to be on the beach ... ankle deep. There are few places that can boast a view and accommodations such as this, so as far as I'm concerned, this is a beach secret. The town is small, but the restful benefits are large. There's swimming and a jacuzzi on premises, and nearby restaurants/lounges. The staff was friendly and concerned with my needs. What a find! I gave it a 9, because I never give anyone a perfect score. I have already booked for another date this summer.

We stayed in a kithen unit on the ground level. The carpet was new and I have never stayed in a cleaner room. I travel a lot, and was so pleased with the accommodations. The view was beyond belief, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I will always stay at the Silver Sands when I am in the area, and look forward to bringing my family for an extended stay in the near future.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed in. I was to stay in Rockaway to spend time with a dear friend who has less than two months to live. First, they reserved my room for the wrong day. They finally got that fixed and I went to the coast. I spent the majority of the evening with a group of friends at a hotel several blocks away. When I returned, I was falsely accused of letting off fireworks on the beach even when I wasn't on the beach. My explanation was completely ignored. I was rudely awakened at 8:00 in the morning by the some man who claimed to be staff. He had brought a cop with him and had me and my roommate thrown out. They took what was supposed to be a final happy memory with a friend and ruined it. And we weren't even there! I've never met such horrible people.
