OK For The Price – Posted Jul 22, 2009

Okay
57 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

Typical ski motel in a mountain town. Carpet seemed dirty but bathroom, bed, and other amenities were spotless. Had a refrigerator, microwave, and small sink. Room was large and roomy. The continental breakfast was simple but a nice touch to the experience. Since the weather was warm during our stay, it would have been nice to have air conditioning, however the management did supply a large portable fan for comfort purposes. Would recommend for inexpensive accommodations.

Horrible
35 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

I spend 50+ nights a year in hotels and this is by far the worst experience. Rooms are run down and dingy. Mold and mildew put allergies into high gear. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable; the blanket was paper thin and dirty. The continental b

functional place to stay – Posted Dec 01, 2008

Okay

A week before my trip to Mammoth, I booked a reservation for 2 nights for nearly $100 (not including tax) the weekend after Thanksgiving. Making reservations during this busy weekend was a good idea especially since upon arrival we noticed there...

I reviewed a number of lodging options – Posted Nov 04, 2008

Good

I reviewed a number of lodging options for our trip to Mammoth in August. Sierra Lodge looked like the best value for the price paid, and it indeed was for me, my wife, and our two children.

Our room (218 or 228) was spacious and had...

Free Wi-Fi, the vanity table and the little kitchenette area.Thin walls, I could hear a lot of neighbor noise, but only in the day time. Perfect for the traveler who is trying to be economical, also very nice staff.

Okay

Great location & well suited to non-picky snow recreationeers.Needs better maintenance and "breakfast" = bagels & coffee. The room was poorly maintained and not pretty, but was spacious and had a small kitchenette. Good for budget snow rats:...

Awful Rude Staff & Dirty Outdated Rooms – Posted Apr 05, 2008

Horrible

How do spell rude? G-E-O-R-G-E. The front desk people are so rude it's unimaginable! Their website totally misrepresents the "lodge". You would be better off staying at the Motel 6. "Tastefully decorated" rooms? Not even close to even decorated....

This is a great place to stay when – Posted Mar 25, 2008

Excellent

This is a great place to stay when visiting Mammoth (summer and winter). The covered parking was key in the winter, and the lockers for ski gear was helpful. The rooms, while simple, had everything you need in a trip: comfortable bed, kitchenette, ...

Good

Having tried many motels in Mammoth on ski trips I have settled on Serria Lodge as the best value. The rooms have refridgerator and microwave which is always nice. The spa is in a pretty nitch just off the fireside room. I like the 100's as there...

We use Sierra Lodge regularly – Posted Feb 26, 2008

Good

My family is a skiing family and we travel extensively for competitions throughout the West. Sierra Lodge has always been more than cooperative with our "flakey" schedules and is always happy to try to give us our "favorite" room if it is available....
