57 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Typical ski motel in a mountain town. Carpet seemed dirty but bathroom, bed, and other amenities were spotless. Had a refrigerator, microwave, and small sink. Room was large and roomy. The continental breakfast was simple but a nice touch to the experience. Since the weather was warm during our stay, it would have been nice to have air conditioning, however the management did supply a large portable fan for comfort purposes. Would recommend for inexpensive accommodations.

Good
I reviewed a number of lodging options for our trip to Mammoth in August. Sierra Lodge looked like the best value for the price paid, and it indeed was for me, my wife, and our two children.

How do spell rude? G-E-O-R-G-E. The front desk people are so rude it's unimaginable! Their website totally misrepresents the "lodge". You would be better off staying at the Motel 6. "Tastefully decorated" rooms? Not even close to even decorated....

Excellent
This is a great place to stay when visiting Mammoth (summer and winter). The covered parking was key in the winter, and the lockers for ski gear was helpful. The rooms, while simple, had everything you need in a trip: comfortable bed, kitchenette, ...

My family is a skiing family and we travel extensively for competitions throughout the West. Sierra Lodge has always been more than cooperative with our "flakey" schedules and is always happy to try to give us our "favorite" room if it is available....
