Horrible
32 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Our experience began with Nathan at registration. He was not busy and when we approached said "I'll be with you in a minute" then looked around his desk for about 1 minute and said "may I help you?" having done nothing in the meantime.

Upon arrival at the room - which looked like an over sized mausoleum with bad furniture and reasonably new carpet with bumps we noticed the room next door was having carpets replaced. We though nothing of it at the time.

The bed looked nice and when we tested it it went klunk. Nathan at reception offered up an engineer – rather than offering to move us rooms, which there were plenty of. I asked what the engineer would do, and he said I don’t know. The engineer came up to to "fix" it. He moved the bed a quarter inch and said it was fine that these old frames move off their pedestals. He left and the bed was slightly off level.

We asked to be moved again, this time I asked to speak to someone else cause so far my interactions with reception gave me the impression that he was as helpful and service oriented as a doorknob.

So far the bed was slanting, the construction next door was extremely noisy.

The next person we spoke to said we could move to a different floor, but that would not help as they were doing construction there too. Of course none of this this was disclosed by Nathan at time of check-in. Further the tone was matter of fact and they offered no help or service or remedy.

Then the fun began, the wireless internet was not working, they promised to sent IT. IT never came. We picked the Siena because they marketed themselves as the Spa place. Well the Spa – an outdoor jacuzzi built in the 50s located outside the building on the far end of the pool in the snow (another thing that was not disclosed) was not suitable. We complained to the manager Sarah who was very understanding and seemed to get it, but offered nothing in return.

The alternative to the spa became the Jacuzzi in the room. It was spacious enough but the buttons didn’t work. The light didn’t work , the jets didn’t work nothing. Nothing but the air bubbles. Which interestingly enough came on by themselves 2 times a night and required no human intervention or water in the tub. It was amazing, all of a sudden we awoke to the noisy turbine which turned out to be the Jacuzzi going nuts. We complained again but fell on deaf ears.

We intended to stay 3 nights. We would have stayed only one night but we thought that given what we’d heard about the place they would do us right.

Absolutely not, this is the worst place and worst service I’ve ever received anywhere in the world, not to mention that their prices are much higher than the other hotels in Reno. I’m writing this from the Atlantis where we just checked in and the service is good, the room is nice and everything works.
