Large room with balcony right on Seneca Lake -- couldn't ask for a better view. Casual restaurant that allowed you to eat on the lake. Very kid-friendly. Motel is definitely not cutting-edge (wood paneled walls, no internet-access, older bath fixtures); however, it is clean , quiet, and the service is friendly. If you're looking for a low-key, family-owned place with a great location and lots of relaxation, this is it.
The room was very musty, there was hair on the toilet and shower. No iron, no hair dryer. The "window" air conditioner did not cool the room. Was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Very disappointed for the price of $100 that I paid.
I am not likely
to return to the Showboat Motel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The room was very spacious which we needed because of having to take a playpen for our daughter. The view was spectacular. We have talked about returning and staying here again. Very friendly staff.

Our group always stays at the Showboat when doing wine tours. The managers are great people and so hospitable. The rooms aren't the most modern, but the atmosphere fits the area. The view is exquisite, the bar is great fun and the meals are pretty good. Sometimes there is a problem with heat or hot water, but not that bad to keep us away.
