Starwood
A spectacular oceanfront hotel, the Sheraton Yankee Clipper Hotel is a favorite for family vacations and carefree getaways. Our location right on the beach is just moments away from Fort Lauderdale's fashionable downtown shopping and cultural centers. Shopping is convenient and varied, from the trendy Las Olas Boulevard, to the Galleria Mall, and a mixture of entertainment and boutiques at Beach Place and Las Olas Riverfront. We offer 500 guest rooms and suites, most with views of the Atlantic Ocean or the Intracoastal Waterway. If you're looking to satisfy your appetite, our moderately priced Clipper Steakhouse serves Certified Angus steaks, and the famous Wreck Bar with its underwater views into the main swimming pool and live entertainment nightly is a favorite. We want to make your stay as relaxing and convenient as possible. Our daily, supervised children's recreation program gives parents time together without the kids. Or if you're looking for some suggestions of things to do, our concierges are available to make arrangements at nearby golf courses, sightseeing, as well as deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, sailing, and other water sports. Miles of beautiful beaches, water sports and outdoor activities, sophisticated museums, entertainment, shopping and dining are only a small portion of what brings visitors to Fort Lauderdale. Known as the "Venice of America" for its beautiful inland waterways, Fort Lauderdale offers everything under the sun, much like the city's popular Sheraton Yankee Clipper Hotel.

28 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
We stayed at this hotel for 1 night after an 8 day cruise. About the only positive thing I can say about the hotel is the bellmen were excellent and very attentive. Other than that, the hotel was very dark, dirty feeling, and outdated. The carpets were stained and I was scared to even think about looking under the bed. It was so gross, that I wanted to end our vacation early and fly home that day without spending the night, but there were no flights home until that next morning. I am thankful we didn't book this hotel for a week's vacation. Overall I was very disappointed because the website made the hotel look nice. Even the pool was disappointing so we didn't even bother going down there. We spent a lot of money for this room and were very disappointed. Avoid if you can.

Excellent
Charming. I expected it to be somewhat dingy because of the age of the hotel. Much to my delight it was charming and well maintained. I wouldstay atthis hotel again.
In my opinion this is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. The carpets were stained, the wall plates were loose, the walls were dirty, there was a hole in the comforter, and the worse thing was there was an insect problem. We had ants...
