Sheraton Yankee Clipper Beach Hotel

We were taking a Caribbean cruise holiday out of Fort Lauderdale and the port was just 10 minutes away by taxi.

The room was quite large and contained 2 double beds.

There is a small shop and a laundry room to the rear.

The air conditioning system was rather on the cold side. The hotel staff was friendly, although those on the front desk were a little robotic.

The Sheraton is next to the main road but does have its own beach area.

I booked a room at the hotel on Aug 24th to celebrate my 43rd birthday. I invited a bunch of my friends to join me at the Wreck Bar mermaid show which I myself have enjoyed on many occasions! Marina and her mermaid friends are gorgeous and talented and put on a wonderful show! We had family in from out of town who stayed at the Clipper with us, as well as about 30 local guests who joined us just for the party. Every single one has called to say what a wonderful time they had there, will definitely be coming back for the show and are planning to book rooms for their special occasions. The hotel should consider advertising their mermaids a bit more as they are a wonderful surprise which makes the hotel experience even more delightful!

The room was lovely, staff attentive and accommodating, I have absolutely no complaints. Even tho' we are locals, it's nice to treat ourselves to a nice beachfront hotel room now & then, and the Yankee Clipper is perfect for that! We'll definitely be back, and soon!

All the people treated you like royality and were very friendly and helpful.

They went all out to make my vacation perfect. Helped with making reservations to places I wanted to go to, getting me taxis when I had to leave for home, helped with bagges arriving and departing.

The food was great a little pricey but for the class of resort it was I thought it was reasonable priced. The location was wonderful, they had their own beach front, free towels at the beach, free chairs at the beach and wasn't far from the public beach park which was very crowded. Was easy to get to and to drive up the coast to other places. I would recomend this place to all.

This hotel looks great on the internet but it does not look good in person.

The beach is good but the rooms were bad. We had brown water to take baths in. We call the front desk and they sent someone up but he did not know what made it turn brown. We had a room above the bar and a band played until 1 am or so. Call about that and they said they would stop at 11pm. Not a good experience. Spend you money elsewhere.

It was in a great location, but sort of pricey.
