When we walked into the hotel, the lobby was nice, but once we got up to our floor, we could tell that the hotel seemed old and dirty.
The carpet in the hallway was extremely dirty and smelly. Our room had small two double beds and a bathroom that was so small that you could not turn around in.
It was very disappointing, and not worth the money that we spent. The staff (bellmen and maids) were nice, but the front desk people were unfriendly and barely looked at us when we checked in.

The facilities were nice, but we killed three spiders the one night that we stayed there. The check out clerk expressed sympathy and apologized, but that was it. Later, at home, my girlfriend called and complained and the Sheraton hotel offered us another free night at that hotel.
I am not likely
to return to the Sheraton Universal Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.

Our stay was fine. We did have some dislikes. The pool was closed for repairs. The rooms and bathrooms were uncomfortably small. The room service was overpriced, they charged ten dollars for oatmeal. We did enjoy the sumptuous bedding, the close proximity to Universal City Walk, and the gorgeous view.
Our beds were very nice, as were all of the furnishings.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Sheraton Universal Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

This hotel was extremely convenient for the Universal Studio vacation. It was a few minutes walk from Universal Studios. It was very clean and comfortable. The pools and hot tubs were nice, but could get crowded. Opt for rooms facing away from the pools, as it gets a bit loud. Other than that, the service (check-in/out) was painless and a pleasure to stay there.
