Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel

I couldn't tell if I was at a hotel or a frat party. Despite decent accommodations and convenience to business areas in Tampa, it was not worth the loss of sleep I incurred from my different neighbors each night. One Friday night the hotel had some sort of party in their little ballroom area downstairs until 12 a.m. and the music and deep bass could be heard clearly in our room. My different neighbors each night seemed to wake me up around 1 a.m. talking loudly, coming in and out of their rooms and people from other rooms banging on the door to come in. Despite securities efforts after I'd finally call and complain they couldn't seem to get it under control. Some would just move down to the pool and party down there - which could also be heard clearly in our room. Don't stay in this hotel if you plan on getting to sleep and staying asleep before 2 a.m. They're also going through renovations right now (04/20/08) - and they'll be doing construction on-site during the week from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. It's also valet parking only.

I am a Sheraton Gold Member, so I get automatic upgrades. The Waterside was great, got my upgrade from standard to Jr. Suite on Club Level. Got the corner room overlooking Tampa Bay, nice balcony, nice view.

The room was clean and comfortable. The Club Room was well stocked with Beer, Wine and other beverages, nice snacks and several newspapers from around the globe.

Internet connection was very good as were the TV movie choices. Nice toiletries, good towels and comfy pillows.

The onsite restaurant made a good omelet and the coffe was good, though expensive. Breakfast is fine at a hotel, but in Tampa for any other meal there are too many good choices to eat at the hotel.

The hotel had a great location, a friendly staff and good amenities. The sliding glass door in our room was not sealed and it did not close all the way, or lock. Because of this we had a constant breeze and it was very noisy. We arrived late and settled into the room, then changed for bed. We did not notice the problem until we tried to go to sleep. The door was closed but there was a gap between the sliders. We mentioned this upon checking out and received only an apology. Unfortunately our three hour trip turned into more than a seven hour trip because of bad weather and we were exhausted and we just wanted to sleep. Had we arrived earlier we would have requested to be moved, however a problem like this in the guest rooms should not exist at all and I am sure others have complained also. For the price we paid it was definitely not a good value. We would stay at a Sheraton hotel again in the future, however this time we will check for problems before they become one.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: They had good bed linens, nice mattresses and good decor in the room.

This was a lovely resort hotel, very close to the Port of Tampa. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would stay there again if I were to return to Tampa.

This hotel made me feel content: It was very relaxing. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was soft and comfortable.

It was a beautiful hotel, the room was great, the view was beautiful and I was highly impressed with the service from the staff, the comfort and the location.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The staff was very courteous and gracious. They were eager to help and explain things if we needed to know how to get to certain places. It was a beautiful, comfortable atmosphere that did not make me feel out of place. It felt homey.
