To temper what I am about to say, I will gladly stay here again. The good outweighs the bad.
I have stayed twice at this hotel, once in an incredible two-floor suite, once in a slightly less spectacular two-room suite. I am a Sheraton Platinum, but that doesn't seem to matter much here; it is an independent Sheraton. There is no Club (no breakfast or snacks for Platinums). I didn't get my normal benefits.
My beefs: you pretty much have to ask permission from the desk to use Wi-Fi; the weight equipment in the exercise room is way past its prime and there isn't enough cardio equipment to go around; staff is not as friendly or helpful as I normally find. I don't get my free water or other standard benefits.
What I like: when I am willing to pay, the breakfast buffet was pretty good; each room also has fridge and microwave if you want to cook something yourself. The view of the falls is pleasant (but since I live near Niagara Falls, it isn't all that impressive) and I like the white noise it provides (i.e., it is pretty loud and drowns out the highway noise.) The business center is free and helpful, it is nice to easily print out a Google Map at will.
