My overall experience was okay. Nothing terrible happened and nothing fabulous either.
I liked the location and there is free public transportation for travel. Most places were in walking distance if you don't mind walking 3 or 4 blocks. There are lots of small shops in the area.
The hotel lobby is really nice. The gym is also nice.
The rooms were old and could use a make over and thorough cleaning.
The hotel provides valet parking only or you may park on the street if there is a vacant metered space. When we arrived we could hear car wheels squeeling and screeching as the valet drivers were parking the cars. When we questioned this, they said the floor was very slippery on the ramps and they had to do this. We reported this to the valet manager and hotel manager. There was no screeching or squeeling when they parked my car. There was also an incident where the hotel gave a car and keys to a car to someone not authorized to drive the car. We spotted the car as it passed us. The person did return the car later. The hotel did not check the card that you use to pick up your car. Nor did they check to see if the person requesting the car was actually the correct person. When this was reported, they offered no explanation and said they did not know how this happened.
Bottom line...This will not be my 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice when returning to Chattanooga.
