Lobby decor was beautiful & elegant, staff was friendly. Our room was nice, but could have been a little cleaner. No hot water in the sink or shower during our 3 day stay. Pipe under bathroom sink was leaking onto the floor. Pool not as nice as misleading photos on website, plus every time we made the trek down to the pool, it was full of screaming, unruly children. We went back to the room disappointed we never got to use the pool or jacuzzi in a peaceful atmosphere. Porters restaurant was a joke, very over rated & WAY over priced. be prepared to spend 100 to 150$ on dinner for 2. I got a TINY rock lobster tail & my husband got surf & turf consisting of a cold steak & a langostino sized tail wich was overcooked, rubbery & had 2 bites of lobster in it. It took an hour to be served after we ordered. When we complained, we were offered "free" dessert & no comp. on the price.
Valet parking, which is required, is $12 per day, plus every time you take your car out to sight-see or drive around, you have to tip the Valet for parking your car when you return. Breakfast buffet in Porters was 11$ ea. & not worth it. Shoneys breakfast bar is 100 times better! We got room service breakfast the next morning & it was fabulous, but cost $44.(without the tip).
The Starbucks was great. Wonderful coffee, good service & a very nice lounging area. The bad points outweighed the good though, so we wont be going back.
