Sheraton Orlando North Hotel

clean, propare service, great location - if you have business near altmonde springs

I stayed during August 2007, I believe right after restoration complete. Location is right off the highway, parking was good (wasn't too busy though). Decor was done very modern, more of what you would see in larger cities.

Staff was pretty above-average friendly. Glass elevator, conference rooms looked nice. The business room was adequate, although the printer was fritzy.

I enjoyed the fresh furniture and appliances. Dark wood doors, bathroom had a nice glazed glass. Bed was very comfortable, tv was nice. Hallway/rooms very quiet (I requested the farthest room possible). Got a balcony with just enough room to step out on.

The only negative I had was waiting for lunch to be served, since I went when the business travelers were eating. Food was ok, portions were skimpy. Although the buffet looked very good. If given choice, try to run out somewhere else to eat. Also, for brand new carpet. there was gum stuck on it. Or else I would've given a 9/10.

The Sheraton in Orlando is a very large property. It has many hard to locate rooms and many guests.

During conventions and conference over-booking periods the hotel gets overwhelmed and starts to make mistakes. I had a very similar name to someone staying in the hotel. That person checked in a few hours before me and got my room, forcing me to be a good 10 minute walk away from my co-workers. If that wasn't bad enough, they gave my bill to the other similarly named individual and I got that person's. Theirs was considerably more than my bill - and it took many calls, faxes, emails and months to get it sorted out.

The moral is make sure they know it's you!

This hotel has the worst front desk service that we have ever received. We checked-in on November 11th, 2006. We paid cash for the room, plus a $50 deposit. When I wanted to check-out the next day, they told me that they didn't have any records that we had paid cash. After an argument, they gave me the $50 cash deposit back, but they told me they are still going to charge the rate from my credit card when I did my reservation on November 10th, 2006.After we left the hotel I remembered that the two people who took cash from me on Saturday, were the same people that were telling me that there was no record of my paying cash. I don't know what is going on in this hotel. I will go again this hotel next week and find out what is going on. I have people that will say that they saw me paying in cash. I still can't believe that they called me a liar. For $129, I don't play games. I stay in hotels always for my business and I have never had a situation like that in my life.
