Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers

I hate the Sheraton New York. I think you can pick out another 3 star hotel at random in NY and it will far and away be better than this hotel. In addition to the poorly decorated and depressing rooms, inability to control the temperature (unless you're in a handicapped room), and uncomfortable bed, prepare to wait on hold!

In order to meet the "food in 30 minutes or less" Dominoes-esque promise, you may wait on hold to order room service for up to 25 minutes. Apparently they can only make the promise if they don't answer until they're prepared to meet your order. But don't expect apologies - whether at 6:30 pm or 11 pm, they're always "extremely busy."

I will never stay here again.

RATS!...RATS!...RATS!...This hotel has rats up in the hotel rooms way above street level. We were just there for NRF in January 08 and several in our group either had rats, dropping or rat traps set under the beds in the room. The hotel Manager denied the problem, but room service staff laughed and said they've had problems forever...

Don't stay here. I don't care if it is New York, other hotels don't have this problem and the management could care less. Think twice about eating there too, where do you think the rats are feeding?

The rooms were a little small, but how much time do you really spend in there. The bathrooms were small, but again, they were do-able. We did get a room right off from the elevators and I didn't feel noise was a problem at all! Times Square, Broadway and many other tourist attractions are within close walking distance with loads of restaurants and bars nearby.

Having stayed in numerous NYC properties, we loved our accomomdations here. Great mid-town location -- close to Radio City, theatres, subways. We've stayed at both the Sheraton Manhattan and Sheraton New York and found the New York property to be a tad more upscale. Enjoyed a special mother's day weekend here --may make it a tradition. Loved the bathroom, and found staff friendly and helpful. Will definately return.

I loved the quality of the room and the cleanliness of the hotel in general.
