35 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for business
Hmmm... 40 minutes to check in with only one of two surly front desk women, $30.18 per day to valet park (self parking not an option), quoted one rate and charged a higher rate for 3 of the 4 nights spent, insulation apparently left out of the construction budget- loud as hell with toilets flushing and doors slamming, no where to smoke other than out on Canal St. with the vagrants and crack heads, security apparently ends at 5:00 because on two consecutive evenings I watched from the over priced bar as lowlifes strolled in to use the bathroom (on the 2nd floor) with no one to stop them. The Sheraton on Canal St. is not only poorly staffed and overpriced it is potentially dangerous to paying guests- but like N.O. itself no one will hear of it's crime problems.

The room was sufficient for a short stay, the cleaning staff were excellent and the rooms clean. I had a problem with the 'key' which was immediately attended to.
The air conditioner fan had a bad bearing and squealed when it turned on.

Mediocre
WOW, when was this hotel built the 1950s? The walls are so thin you can hear everyone around you, we had loud talkers in both rooms next to us and we could repeat verbatim what they were saying... Also the doors for the rooms are very loud too, when ...

Excellent
The Sheraton Hotel is right on Canal Street, so you can look down and watch the Mardi Gras parades from your hotel room, and it is just about three blocks to Bourbon Street. The staff was incredibly nice, fun, and helpful, and the room was...
