57 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I liked the very informative front desk and the extremely quick service. Its restaurant was better than at most hotels. The hotel was in a very convenient location near the trolley, shopping, and sightseeing attractions.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: The service desk was quick to respond to all room requests. The concierge desk was exceptionally patient and thorough in giving information and directions.

I am very likely to return to the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I liked the great location and wireless Internet service.

This hotel made me feel excited: There was a buzz of activity in the lobby, which included an open air bar.

I am very likely to return to the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The service was as good as could be expected, considering we went 4 days without power. They need to install a generator that will run at least one elevator. Both staff and guests were being worn out having to use the stairs, especially when a hotel has 50 floors. They responded to the emergency and are to be congratulated with the way they handled Katrina without any outside help. They made the arrangements to get us out of New Orleans.

I am very likely to return to the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Everything met expectations or exceeded them (but not greatly exceeded). The hotel was very nice, very professional, but didn't impress me. I wish I didn't have to pay extra to use the gym, because then I would have. (It was not very occupied later in the day - I checked. Perhaps they - and other hotels similarly with similarly under-utilized gyms - could have a policy that time-segregates.)

I am very likely to return to the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

We chose this hotel based on the expectation of quality in the Sheraton name. It took us over an hour to get into a room at 5:30 in the morning as we were the only ones checking in. We requested two rooms to be next to each other in a non-smoking area. My husband and I went up to the 26th floor and could not get into our room, our key wouldn't work. I went back downstairs and received another key...which did not work as well. I used the courtesy phone and called downstairs to let the reservation desk know that we still couldn't get in our room. It turned out that the room was already occupied and the occupant was not happy to have the mechanic pick the lock and bust into his room. We ended up getting a room further down the hall, and never even received an apology from the manager. I was not impressed with the customer service nor the incompetence of the staff. We spent over $500 on our stay and it took over an hour to get in our room. On a better note, I notified Sheraton of the incident and they offered to upgrade my room for free the next time I return. The only thing is that I wouldn't want to return.

I am not likely to return to the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

35 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I was really dissatisfied with the quality of the rooms. They were nasty-looking and dirty. There were carpet stains and stains on the wallpaper in the bathroom. The tile in the bathroom was stained and has nasty grout; there was a brown splotchy ceiling and there were gross splatters of unknown origin on that dingy wallpaper. Two huge unidentifiable stains were on the bedroom carpet. We felt dirty the whole time we were there. I will never stay at that Sheraton again. Also, the pool was gross; we wouldn't go in it.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.
