Boutique storefronts, sidewalk cafés, and a brick-paved plaza with a fountain called Weather Dance help create Iowa City's unique and cultural downtown. In the heart of this "All-American town" lies the newly renovated Sheraton Iowa City Hotel. Located just minutes from the University of Iowa, Hancher Performing Arts Center, and the University of Iowa's Museum of Art, you'll find excitement on the streets, outdoor live music, and great shopping right outside our door. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, our guest rooms will offer everything you will need, from High Speed Internet Access to poolside views. The casual American dining at Morgan's Bar and Grill is sure to sweep you off your feet as well.

Stayed there for a football weekend. The location is excellent if you are into late nights. The hotel is surrounded by bars, shops and restaurants and is only about a mile and a half from the football stadium. The hotel is clean and the staff was...
Stayed at the Sheraton Hotel for the Iowa vs. Iowa State game. I paid $300 for an average room for one night, way too expensive!!! For the money I paid I would expect to at least have free parking but nope they charged me. They didn't even...

Once you get beyond the lobby, this hotel needs updating. Elevators have outdated wall trim. Hall carpets and walls needs refreshening. Tub faucet diverter barely worked and let more watere out of tub spout than came from shower head. Wall outlet by bathroom vanity was so worn that plugs fell out during normal use.

Its high priced due to the location. There was no hot water in the room both days. The facilities are older. We will book elsewhere in the future. I have received better facilities and rates at other Iowa City locations.
I am not likely
to return to the Sheraton Iowa City Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.
Definitely a college town hotel

Okay
The hotel has cushy beds, but is in need of an update....carpet, bathrooms and decor leave a lot to be desires. Service is great as well, but it is barely worth the $$.

Okay
This is a perfectly good hotel. It's close to downtown and the University. But if you're not in Iowa City for University business, this a poor choice because of the expense. There's just nothing special enough about it to warrant such an excessive...
