This hotel is in the heart of downtown Iowa City. It’s within walking distance to the University of Iowa, Kinnick Stadium, Carver Arena, Hancher, and much more. The staff treats you like you are one of the family.

The hotel has a good location. They need to change approach to cleaning, though.

The Christmas treats were a nice touch.

The hotel is centrally located in the center of University of Iowa campus. There is a lot going on. I love it.

It was clean. The staff was friendly.

I really enjoyed that it was close to downtown Iowa City and it had an excellent view.

This hotel made me feel important: The staff responded quickly to what I needed and my inquiries. They did not make me feel as though there were more important guests in the hotel.

The location was great right in the heart of Iowa City.

It was very convenient to the university and downtown area. The service was excellent along with the club personnel. I would recommend to anyone coming to the university and I plan to stay there again.

This hotel made me feel important: I was addressed by name and with kindness throughout my stay.

It was a nice hotel but I was disappointed that they charged for bottled water.

It is in a noisy location. The hotel is built downtown such that the lobby is part of a pedestrian thoroughfare and people stumbling home from the bars often stumble through the lobby in order to get to the other side of the downtown area.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The attendants at the front desk were extremely friendly upon both check-in and check-out. The bellboys always said hello when you passed them in the lobby or hallway.

The hotel's location is most convenient to the University. Reservations need to be made well in advance of university events. The rooms are really for one or two people -- families with children will need an adjoining room or suite.

This hotel was wonderful. Even though a tornado hit the hotel, they were able to accommodate me and my family with exceptional service and friendliness. Yes, there was still dirt and debris and the pool area was slightly damaged and out of order, but the hotel had no control over this damaging storm. Amazing staff!

They have very comfortable beds. Everything else pretty much as expected. There was no pool or hot tub in the hotel. But it's in a good location, it's close to the university.

They advertise how comfortable their beds are, but this hotel has not put these mattresses on their beds. I stay because it is close to campus, but because of this, the hotel is rundown from college use. If it weren't for the wonderful hotel staff and its closeness to campus I would stay elsewhere.

The location is excellent and the accommodations are fine, but I thought they could have done more to accommodate my desire for early check in.

We stayed twice at the Sheraton because of it's proximity to the University of Iowa. After a disappointing first stay, we gave it a second chance.

One positive – the room had really comfortable beds. Too many negatives – a moldy, smelly shower curtain, a missing toilet seat lid, a missing room chair, a burned out light bulb, mold on the walls around the air conditioner (visible because of wallpaper peeling off all around it), a tub that water wouldn't go down in (can't figure out how the people who cleaned the room missed that) that was fixed after several calls, but dirty towels were left behind with the muck from the drain on them. I'm sure the Sheraton can do better than that. But we won't stay there again to find out.

This hotel made me feel entertained: It is in the middle of Iowa City.

The windows in the entry were very dirty: giving the impression that there was dirt elsewhere which could not be seen so easily. The room looked only partly refurbished. It was not like what I would expect from a Sheraton--it lacked class.

This hotel made me feel pampered: I was given quick attention when I approached the desk. The staff gave a polite and quick response when I asked them to replace my moldy shower curtain.
