stayed in the executive club.. just a rip off. The staff was switched off and pretty pathetic. Rude and not very helpful. Mistakes on the billing and very Noveau-riche. Massage was good and professional. Food was porr and expensive. Do not reccommend it for any reasons.. lots of mosquitos in the evening, perhaps from the proximity of the river. Bangkok has tons of great hotels. I really dont think this one is worth the time and trouble. Even the Oriental next door is highly overrated.

32 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I stayed at this hotel in November 2006, it's located on the east side of Bangkok, a little further out from the central part of the city but still a good area.

The hotel itself is brand new and very nice. It's definitely a five star hotel with all the service and amenities you'd expect. The staff was very friendly and helpful - I even was offered a free upgrade!

Room I stayed in was great, I was on the 28th floor and the views of the city were fantastic. Hotel beds were very comfortable, each room had a flat screen TV with plenty of English content. They set up the room twice a day! And the bathroom was huge and had both a shower and a big tub.

Highly recommend this place. Only draw back is that you need to take the skytrain or a taxi to get to more of the tourist destinations in the city.
