Sheraton Gateway SFO Airport Hotel - Page 2

This hotel is consistently promoted as a 4 star hotel. No way! They’re totally taking advantage of the Sheraton label. It’s an old facility in desperate need of a renovation. My room had wallpaper peeling off, and there were cracks in the ceiling above the shower. They’ve spent some money recently on new bedding but have completely ignored the rest of the property. The staff seems that they could care less if you are there or not.

If you can find a rate for less than $100, this place is OK, given its convenient location. Otherwise, there are plenty of other decent hotels in the same area. Also, like other hotels in this area, they will charge you extra for parking and internet access. For a hotel in this condition those services should be free!

The rooms were not ready at three PM as promised. The beds were very uncomfortable. I was very impressed with the indoor pool and Jacuzzi.

The restaurant closed early. Still I could get the food at bar, but it was slow service.

My stay here was perfectly fine. This is a fairly convenient airport hotel, with a free scheduled shuttle service from the airport to the hotel every 20 to 30 minutes. The rooms are fine and clean, but nothing special.

The hotel is on the water and has a nice view of the bay and planes landing, but be warned there isn't really anything within walking distance. There is a separate free shuttle to downtown Burlingame and mass transit, but this only goes about once an hour. If you're hoping to use this (or any airport hotel) as a base for sightseeing, a car would be helpful.

This hotel is close enough to San Francisco so I do not have to stay overnight there. The staff is friendly and extremely anxious to please. My only dislike is that they either cannot or will not cook meat more than medium rare for room service.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: Their beds are so comfortable. I try to stay there exclusively if I can.

I was surprised at the quality of the room and there was a nice waiting area in the lobby. But guests should use taxis as the parking is limited.

The staff at the bar/restaurant was indifferent to service or needs. It appeared that their only concern was the money. The bathroom in the room was moldy and appeared unclean.

I love the location. The comfort of the rooms is amazing. The staff is friendly. The lobby has a wonderful atmosphere. It is always a clean hotel.

In a really nice spot on the Bay with shuttle service to just about anywhere you'd like to go. Beds are exquisite, and the service was great.
