The room was not ready at the check in time of 5 PM; we had to delay check in about two hours. Otherwise, we had a very good stay. (Sheraton did provide parking credit/consideration for our late-check in).

I am somewhat likely to return to the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf.
I might recommend it to friends.

kapast icon Worst hotel in which I've ever stayed

This place is horrible. On a whim, I put in a ridiculously low, although not low enough for this terrible hotel, bid on Priceline (I think around $75.00) and it was accepted. After reading the reviews of this hotel on Tripadvisor.com I almost booked another hotel, but since it was New Year’s Eve weekend everything was either booked or much higher than usual. I also figured we wouldn't be in the hotel very much, which was the case, but when we were there, we were all miserable. The staff was horrible. The person in the room above us roamed around his or her room all night long. No one could sleep because of the constant shuffling of feet, and what sounded like the moving of all the furniture and perhaps moving dead bodies all around the room, all night. First, we called the front desk, they didn't do anything. Eventually we had to get up four times from around 2 am to 4 am to beg them to silence the person above us. Nothing ever happened. It continued throughout the three nights we were there, and when we'd come back during the day to drop stuff off, shower, etc. it was still happening.

The hotel is so far out of the way. Since the public transportation doesn't run all night, you have to find a cab. No cab at 3 am on New Years Eve or day would take us back there. We ended up having to walk in the rain back from near the Castro neighborhood.

The restaurant was slow and gross. We had to waste about 1 1/2 hours before going to the airport to head home, so instead of lugging our luggage to a nice part of town, we sat down for dinner at the hotel restaurant. That was a big mistake. I waited for 20 minutes as I watched the two waiters deal with other guests. Finally, my friend met me there and waited about 10 minutes. Finally, we had to ask for service, and the food was wrong once we got it.

Oh, and it was under construction, so it was filthy.

I'm not one to go on and on in a public forum about the quality of a hotel, but people need to know the following:

1. Never stay here

2. Never book with Priceline. I had never done it before and I'm usually very picky about hotels so it was a mistake on so many levels.

I am not likely to return to the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf.
I would not recommend it to friends.

This hotel is in a good location, clean and with comfortable rooms. The decor is dated but still in good condition. It's convenient to public transportation.

I am very likely to return to the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I left a pair of pants in the drawer and didn't realize it until we had returned home to the East Coast. I called and they immediately found them and shipped them to me. That was fabulous customer service.

I really love the location and the quality and decor of this hotel. It is our favorite place to stay in San Francisco, and is particularly beautiful at Christmas. In addition, I have a serious spinal injury and the beds are some of the few that don't make me wake up in total agony. However, this year two of the elevators were broken on Christmas Day and the next, and that made it difficult for me to get around as I use a motor scooter. However, I've been to this hotel many times and this is the first I've had this problem.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf.
I might recommend it to friends.

The hotel was generally fine. However, I needed to send a package and no one seemed to know who was the appropriate person to do this. I was quite surprised to find it was not the business center, because in other hotels that is who shipped items. The man there said it was the front desk, the front desk said it was the concierge. He looked puzzled at the request and I found the nearest postal store. I would have thought this was a regular request and was surprised that no one wanted to admit it was their job.

I am very likely to return to the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf hotel was not 'high tech' as most hotels have been recently. It has been renovated in a way that makes everyone comfortable. It was comfortable versus intimidating.
