Sheraton Columbia Hotel

I read some bad reviews about this place and had to stay there for a business convention, so I was a little hesitant. What are people talking about? Front desk staff was the best I've encountered. Engaging, helpful, and had real personality. The food was great, and had a lot to offer. I stayed in the "tower" part but was told about the renovated rooms and they even let me take a look at one and asked if I wanted to switch rooms. Don't believe all the hype. I blame the bad reviews on people who just like being miserable and complaining!

We have stayed at this hotel in the past (10 plus years ago) when it was the Columbia Inn and loved it. We were really looking forward to going back and did so this past weekend and were so disappointed. We have a small dog, so we were put in the garden section of the hotel, which has not been refurbished for ages. The ceiling, walls, carpets, hallways, and entryways were filthy. The hotel was crowed with wedding parties, and we were kept up all night by screaming kids, slamming doors, and loud drunks. We had planned to stay the weekend, but left early the next morning. The hotel was so dirty, we didn't even want the dog to walk on the floor!

The location was excellent. It was typical Sheraton service and quality.

The hotel was as expected as I have stayed there on the same weekend for the past three years for my anniversary.

They had no free wireless internet and no free breakfast. I would go elsewhere for breakfast also as opposed to using room service. The hotel appearance is upscale and the rooms are pretty nice.
