Sheraton Chicago Northwest Hotel

I have stayed many times at this property and it is always great, with no surprises and always pleasant.

This hotel made me feel practical: It is well laid out, with all the amenities one needs or wants.

Although I didn't use it, I was impressed with the quality and look of the water park. The staff was efficient and pleasant, bordering on more than expected. The bed was very comfortable. The lighting in the room could have been better. There was significant storage, closet, space. It was more than expected.

It's a good location, my kids loved the water park. The check-in was a mess, the room wasn't ready until three hours after it was promised, and I have a one year old who needed to nap, and the bathroom in our room was dirty, the showerhead didn't work, and the light fixtures were covered with dust.

The check in was too long. The room didn't have working air conditioning so the temperature was too warm and my whole family couldn't sleep well. The room set up was comfortable but noisy as people in the hallway and other rooms were heard and it was loud. The windows had no screen when opened so if we weren't careful the kids could fall out the window. The TV volume couldn't be set up correctly. Our hotel dinner was overpriced and we got charged for a gratuity of about seven dollars extra and it was the worse. The water park was overcrowded due to people being allowed to use it on a day pass so both times I took the kids to the water I couldn't even sit or find a seat for ourselves. It was disappointing and I wouldn't stay overnight at this hotel ever again! It was my worse stay in years.

I was there for a convention. The heater did not work when I checked in, but it was repaired promptly.
