The property is nice, the atrium is lovely, the staff was very curteous. However, I was on the phone with the MOD at 3:00am, advising that I would be checking out a day early and I would appreciate a rate adjustment. The bedding was poor, the mattress was terrible, I actually woke up with back/neck discomfort. The thermostat would not regulate, it turned off/on every 3-5 min b/c the entry door was not hung properly. The walls were so thin, I could hear the neighbors conversation (until 3:00am). Finally, upon waking from the 1 hour of sleep I did get, the housekeeping staff was having a great time cleaning rooms and yelling to one another from opposite rooms. Also, the floors in the room did not appear to have been cleaned after the prior guest. The staff did a good job of trying to compensate by adjusting my rate, however, I had a miserable stay and will not go back. The location is great for sight seeing downtown and access to LSU. Shucks on the Levee (adjoined) has great seafood dishes with a nice cajun ambiance.

Horrible
I wish I could review the room itself, but we never made it there because even though we had a confirmed reservation, that was paid in full in advance, and late checkin guaranteed, we arrived at 1 in the morning with our tired kids only to find out...

The location was wonderful. On check in, the staff gave me a smoking room even though a non smoking room was specifically requested and paid for. They refused to give me the non smoking room. It took a long time to finally concede we could have a non smoking room. However, the non smoking room we were transferred to was gorgeous and very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful.
The location was close to the convention center so I did not have to stress about getting there.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Sheraton Baton Rouge Convention Center Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.
