We thought the hotel would be downtown. It was not even near downtown. We had come to visit the local sights, so being near the airport was out of the way. Other than that, the hotel was very nice and resort looking. The pool did have lots of leaves floating in it, so we did not go swimming and the weather was not conducive either.
The Wyndham hotel made us feel extravagant because it was a fancier hotel that we usually stay in. It had a beautiful, New Mexico themed lobby. The price was very good, too.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel - Opening August 6, 2009.
I might recommend it to friends.

Excellent
This hotel is very conveniently located close to the airport and major highways (25 & 40). The hotel staff was always very friendly, I made a couple of special requests from the room maid and they were very accomodating in getting what I needed.

The staff were great, very helpful, and friendly. I remember the waiter who gladly served us even though we arrivedat the restaurant 5 minutes before closing.
The hotel has all of the amenities you would expect and it is within walking distance of the airport. But don't try walking when you first arrive. No problem with airport noise.
