Located in the historic Murray Hill district, this hotel is a calm retreat. Times Square, Grand Central Station and the Empire State Building are all within easy reach on foot. Decorated in a European style, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped, with mini kitchenettes that are great for making yourself something quick to eat. There are also many restaurants a minutes from the hotel. There are great views of the Manhattan skyline from its rooftop garden which is a lovely place to relax, and the Rare Bar & Grill serves some nice food, with the speciality being a twist on the American favourite, the hamburger! The staff are friendly, polite and always helpful - really great! There are good transport links a short walk from the hotel, so all of New York is easily acessible.

Second visit to this hotel was better than first although a little more $$'s. Larger than typical, clean, comfortable bed. Quick taxi ride to/from LGA. Great location if you like walking in to the office. Will continue to use for work or...

Shelburne Murray Hill is a great property - very nice, clean and comfortable. Location is ideal. Nice neighborhood. Food - delis, diners and restaurants nearby. Transportation - subway stops, busses and of course, taxis all very convenient.

Great value for the money, considering it's midtown location. We had 2 queen size beds and plenty of room. The small kitchen also came in handy. Only negative was the small bathroom. Friendly staff, great location and very good on-site restaurant.
